| Albion Police Exploring Post #911 Village of Albion, New York |
The Albion Police Exploring Post #911 was formed in November of 2002 by the Village of Albion, New York Police Department in
conjunction with the Albion Central School District and LFL/BSA. The intent of law enforcement exploring is to educate and involve youth
in police operations, to interest them in possible law enforcement careers (police officer, deputy sheriff, police dispatcher, corrections
officer, prosecuting attorney, crime lab technician, etc.) and to build mutual understanding. The education aspect provides Explorers with
knowledge of the law enforcement function in one's community whether one enters the field of law enforcement as a career or not.
Through involvement, the exploring program establishes an awareness of the complexities of law enforcement service.
The program objectives set forth by LFL/BSA and the Albion Police Department are as follows:

several of the basic law enforcement tactics and procedures.
All members in a law enforcement exploring program must be between the ages of 14 and 20. The department, post, and school have set
